| NEWPORT WINTER FESTIVAL
Joseph Matose, Newport Artist, will be participating in the Newport Winter Festival, held in Newport RI from February 13-22, 2009. All those presenting a Newport Winter Festival button will receive 25% off all art items for sale at Joe's Gallery at 164 Broadway, Newport.
In addition, Joe will be conducting a Winter Art Contest. Entry details are as follows:
1. Contest free to those presenting a Newport Winter Festival button. All others entry fee $1 which will be donated to Woman to Woman Support Network which provides free help to pregnant women and their families in Newport County.
2. Art work shall be of a flat medium only (paint, chalk, crayon, pencil, pen and ink, acrylic, collage, etc.).
3. Art work shall be no larger than 18" x 24".
4. All art work must have the name, address, and phone number of the artist affixed to the back of the piece.
5. All art work must be the original creation of the artist and feature no copyrighted images.
6. Categories are: Ages 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, and adult.
7. No more than 3 pieces may be entered by any contestant.
8. Submissions must be made in person to Joseph Matose, Newport Artist, during the Festival days of February 13-22, from 10 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am - 3 pm Saturday.
9. One winner per category will be selected at Joe's 164 Broadway Gallery at 3 p.m. on February 22.
10. Judges' decision is final.
11. Each winner will receive 3 free art lessons conducted by Joe at his gallery ($45 value).
12. Winning art work will be displayed at the Newport Artist Gallery until March 15.
13. All art work will be returned to owners at the owner's expense.
14. The owner alone shall be solely responsible for any damage incurred to the art work in submitting it to this contest.
15. Art work not picked up at 164 Broadway, Newport, by March 20 will be discarded.
